For the last years forum became one of the most important International economic summits due to the Russian business activity on world scene. This event allowed to discuss economic development of CIS countries, their role in the international economic process, perspectives of forming new markets, finance involving in the economy of these states.

In 2007 the Forum was held on the territory of St.-Petersburg expocentre “Lenexpo”.

In the Forum took part 8966 persons from 65 countries, 54 official delegations, 12 Presidents of CIS countries, 4 Prime-ministers, 44 Ministers. Thus, the forum promoted partnership development between business, political, intellectual leaders of the world community, discussion and global problems solutions of world economic development.

Key event of a forum was the International exhibition “Innovative achievements” and “Investment projects”.

Within the limits of a forum a number of “round tables” (including “Power partnership”) with participation of political, business, intellectual leaders of the world community has been spent

In exhibition “Innovative achievements” took part such organizations as: Ministry of education and science of the Russian federation, FASI, Ministry for Protection of the Environment and Natural Resources of Russia,

Ministry of Natural resources of the Russian Fedration, the Russian Open Society “United Power Systems”, Open Society “Gazprom”, Open Society “Russian railways”, “the Savings Bank of Russia”, “Novorossiysk sea trading port”, Open Society “Sogaz”, “Biline”, Open Society “Transneft”, “Norilsk nickel” and other Russian companies.

Exhibition purposes

• Demonstration of research organizations breakthrough, the industrial enterprises, the organisations, firms in the field of innovative development;

In the framework of the exhibition NP “INCOT” organized “energy and energy efficiency” and “environmental management” expositions.

At the exposition were presented competitive achievements of Russian scientists in the field of emerging technologies, were shown the results of implementing scientific and technological projects.

In the section took part more than 80 experts from 33 companies, scientific centers, industrial enterprises and firms in the field of innovative development.

The delegation of CIS countries leaders, led by the President of The Russian Federation, V. Putin, has visited the exhibition on the 10^th of June.

More than 6000 persons visited the exhibition.

“Innovative achievements” promoted development of innovative activity, allowed to give recommendations about advancement of highly effective technologies in real sector of economy and the most effective ways of their development.
